She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. Richard H. Scheffler; her parents, Alberta Scheurlein and John Rex Jr.; her sister Clara Lawson; her former husband James Charles; and her stepdaughter Katherine Scheffler.
She is survived by: her siblings, John Rex and Stephanie Hobby; her children, James Scheffler (Katy), Jennifer Fuschino (Vincenzo), Mary Elizabeth Helander and Stephanie Cushman (Steven); her grandchildren, Cassidy, Maria, Jessica, Jacob, Zoe, Rebecca, Holly and Julian; and her great grandchild Aleah. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews.
