As Karen departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Karen. Though Karen may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Genevieve Mettler (Wood) and Harry Mettler; her husband Edward A. Mattice; and her brothers, James Mettler and Thomas Mettler.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Baxter (Danny Baxter), Lisa M. Stever (Barry Stever) and Michael E. Mattice (Teresa Mattice); and her pet Noah. She is also survived by five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces & nephews.
Karen had desired to donate her body to Upstate Medical University anatomical gift program, however current circumstances prevented her acceptance into the program.
