He was predeceased by: his parents, Muriel V. Day Leiser (Rhodes) and Clayton H. Day; his daughter Fay Lynn Day-Coe; and his sister Dorothy L. Briggs. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Grace Day (Bassett); his children, Esther Day (Todd Morey) and Donald R. Day, Jr. (Shannon); his granddaughter Neko; and his brother Richard (Sachiko Day). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins; and many friends.
