He is survived by: his wife Carol Elizabeth Ostrander (Twaddle); his daughters, Ann Flack and Alison Stark (John Jr.); his stepdaughter Carolyn Postell (William); and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Gorton, Conner Stark, Lauren Postell, Patrick Stark, Luke and Lily Postell.
