He was predeceased by: his father James E. Bassett Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Jo Ann McDermott (Paul) of Clifton Springs; his grandsons, Abram and Daniel Bassett; and his siblings, Amy Wright (Robert) of Lyons, Kevin Bassett of Rochester, Derek Burnett of Geneva and Jessica Burnett of Newark. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
