He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Scharett and Bernice Albro Scharett; and his brothers, Clarence Scharett and Frank Scharett. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Scharett; his son Kevin Scharett; his niece Savanna; and his siblings, Art Scharett (Theresa) and Mary (Fred).

It is requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Phelps Volunteer Fire Department PO Box 84 Phelps, NY 14532.
