He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Hammond and Delila O. Comstock Hammond; his wife Edythe J. Smith Hammond; his great grandchild Mackenzie Hammond; and his sibling Leigh Hammond.
He is survived by: his children, Becky Bonesteel of Petersburgh and Paul A. Hammond (Jean) of Petersburgh; his grandchildren, Phillip Bonesteel, Kevin Bonesteel (Jennifer), Daniel Hammond, Jeffrey Hammond (Brittany), Jessica Virtue (Paul), Joseph Crandall (Diane) and Andrew Crandall (Shelly); his great grandchildren, Noah, Isaiah, Jacob, Madelyn Bonesteel, Matthew, Spencer, Zoey, Mazey Hammond, Johnathon Crandall, Issac and Rebekah Virtue; and his sister Jeanne Stone.
