He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Norman Day and Leona Day; his wife R. Monica Day (Tilley); his children, Eric Day (Melissa) and Christina Zielinski (Eric); and his grandsons, Matthew Day, Riley and Nathan Zielinski.

Donations in Wally's memory may be made to the South Plattsburgh Fire Department Scholarship Fund.
