She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard B. James and Ruth W. James (Ivester); her former husband Michael A. Palmer, Sr.; and her brothers-in-law, Kay, Duane Peabody and Jack Armstrong.

She is survived by: her husband Clinton Grant; her children, Michael Palmer, Jr. (Christy) of West Chazy, Steven Palmer of Lyon Mountain, Robert Palmer (Jesslin Golovach) of Lyon Mt, Heather Sheppard (Don) of West Chazy and Catherine Grant of Peru; her grandchildren, David (Stacy), Nathan, Ashley and Nora; and her sisters, Linda Armstrong (George) of Florida and Patricia (David Ring).

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bible Baptist Church (4635 US-9, Plattsburgh, NY 12901). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
