Mary Roach Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 4, 2024, at the age of 89, Mary Roach of Peru, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Woodward and Elizabeth Woodward (Tobin); her sons, Kevin Keefe, Danny Keefe and John Roach Jr.; her grandson Timmothy Keefe; her children-in-law, Bruce Cornell and Nancy Keefe; her sisters, Peggy Havens and Teresa Jones; and her siblings-in-law, Rev. Daniel Keefe, James Keefe, Paul Jones, Robert Havens (Jack Keefe) and Ellie Roach Douglas.
She is survived by: her children, Patrick Keefe, Doreen Keefe, Jim Roach, Donna Dick (Don), Eileen Roach (Timbal Stanley) and Kathleen Roach (Julie DiCarlo); her sister Donna Merlow; her grandchildren, Lenora, Lizzy, Emma, Christina, Aidan, Regan and Kaylee; and her daughters-in-law, Lynne Donaldson and Kimmie Vespa. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home Inc. (294 Mannix Rd, Peru, NY 12972). A Mass was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Augustine's Church (3035 N Main St, Peru, NY 12972). A burial was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. Augustine's Cemetery (3035 N Main St, Peru, NY 12972). They loved, nurtured and kept "Mama Mary" safe during Covid and beyond.
Donations can be made in Mary's honor to the Peru Fire Department or the North Country Honor Flight.
