She was loved and cherished by many people including: her father Thurman Blake; her husband Samuel, Sr.; her sons, Samuel, Jr. (Spring), Duane (Rebecca) and Benjamin "BJ"; her grandchildren, Braxton, Kerriann, Samuel III, Alyese, Ava and Mia; her great grandchild Maxine Maulding; her mother Doris Matthews (Matthews); her siblings, Linda Coutee (Steve), Yolanda Conaway (Rafe), Therma Blake, Nathaniel Blake (Cindy), Daniel Phillips (Jackie) and Thaniel Jenkins (Robbie); and her siblings-in-law, Brenda Jackson (Clarence) and John Godfrey (Maybelle). She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Peru Community Church, Autism Alliance or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
