Junior Howerton Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Junior Howerton (Peru, New York), born in Herndon, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 2, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Jarrett; his mother Eva Amick (Willams); his daughter-in-law Christine Pelkey Howerton; his brothers, Bobby Joe Howerton (Edith) and Roger Howerton; and his nephew Michael Howerton.
He is survived by: his pet Sammy; his children, James (Michelle Smith), Patricia Bordeau (Bruce) and Tammy Howerton; his son-in-law Victor Laclair, Jr.; his child Mel Travis (Michelle); his grandchildren, Jessica, Amanda, Cheyenne, Trevor, Darcie and Holly; his great grandchildren, Gunner, Evelyn Alexandra, Braydon, Cole, Julianna and Bella; his brother Allen; and his sisters-in-law, Francis Howerton and Claudia Howerton.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Harkness Cemetery.
Donations in his memory may be made to Elmore SPCA or Fitzpatrick Cancer Center at CVPH in Plattsburgh, NY.
