It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hilda Hathaway (Peru, New York), born in Swanton, Vermont, who passed away on August 12, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wyman Benway and Nina Benway (Hathaway); her husband Lloyd "Vaughn" Hathaway; and her sister Helen Flynn. She is survived by: her children, Sandra Jacques (Stephen) of Gloversville, NY, Dale (Betsy) of Mayfield, NY, Colleen Nolette (Ben Gentile) of Willsboro and Wanda Gowdy (Scott) of Lewis, NY; her grandchildren, Jamey Jacques (Amy), Brent Jacques, Angela Rhodes, Jennifer Akey (Ron), Jeremy Hathaway, Jeanette Armstrong, Alvin Nolette Jr. (Brandy), Nicole Cassavaugh, Tierra Jaquish (Brandon), Briana Reynolds, Mike Gowdy and Cody Gowdy; her great grandchildren, Kendall, Andrew, Austin, Jaxson, Mitchell, Abigail, Emma, Isabella, Logan, Darrian, Lilly, Brady, Lexi, Lacey, Laney, Desiree, Everett and Brody; and her siblings, Lional Benway (Kibbie), Hazel Te Riele, Paul Benway, Norris Benway, Harriet Rasco, Robert Benway and Allen Benway.
