She was predeceased by: her parents, John Fountain and Genevieve Fountain (Blanchard); her former husband Harlan Akey; her husband Bill Benware; and her sister Yvonne.
She is survived by: her children, Fred Akey (Susan), Diane LaBombard (Francis), Yvette Gough (Erwin), Roland Akey (Pam), Debbie Miner (Dale) and John Akey; her grandchildren, Frank LaBombard, Curtis Gough (Kristy), Joshua Akey, Alexis Seney (Matt) and Michael Akey (Hillary); and also Jessica Waugh.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home Inc. (294 Mannix Rd, Peru, NY 12972). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
