He was predeceased by: his mother Joan Spear (Fraughton). He is survived by: his father Dr. Merritt Fuller Spear; his wife Dr. Anne-Marie Spear (Boulé); his children, Taylor Spear (Katie) and Ian Spear (Sara); his grandson Blake; his children, Samantha Spear (JD Side) and Tanner Spear; his sister Dr. Alison Spear (Erica); his nieces and nephews, Brady and Keaton; his sisters, Stephanie Spear of Peru, NY and Jennifer Tompkins (Steven Tompkins) of Gansevoort, NY; and his nieces and nephews, Max (Lauren), Jordan and Luke (Iulia).
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home (294 Mannix Rd, Peru, NY 12972). A Mass was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter's Church (114 Cornelia St, Plattsburgh, NY 12901).
