She was predeceased by: her parents, William Joseph and Mary Lydia Armstrong (Vandenbergh); her former husband Gerald C. Powers; her brothers, Robert Edward and Donald William Armstrong; and her close friend James Tessier.
She is survived by: her children, Glenn C. Powers (Susan) of Captain, USN, Thomas J. Powers (Eileen C.), Douglas G. Powers (Lynn McCarty) of Plattsburgh, NY, E. Jane Emerson, Terry A. Powers-Phaneuf (Bernard) of Plattsburgh, NY, Beth E. Powers (Siamak) of Shelburne, VT and Donna L. Powers of Plattsburgh, NY.. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, a nephew and several nieces, and numerous friends.
Eileen enjoyed quilting often creating lovely works for family, friends, "Prayers and Squares" at her church and for several charity organizations.
