He was predeceased by: his parents, Burton, Sr. Owen and Virginia Owen (Loose); and his former wife Paula Renadette. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Taft; his children, Kelly Owen (Dustin Blockson) and Chad Owen (Susan Gerace Mossey); and his grandchildren, Megan, Hailey, Brooke Wyand, Abbigail and Mathew Owen.
In lieu of flowers, his family request donations in his memory be made to Hospice of the North Country and mailed to their office at 358 Tom Miller Road, Plattsburgh, NY, 12901.
