He was predeceased by: his mother Louise Grouden; his granddaughter Meagan Lynn Springer; his siblings, Donna McClean, Dale Harper, Bernie Crossman and Bruce Smith; and his sister-in-law Diane Adair.
He is survived by: his wife Linda J. Strathearn Smith; his children, Tammy Sprenger (Michael) of Port St, Mark Smith (Sara) of Castile and Michael Smith (Jennifer) of Perry; his sister Joyce Carden of Virginia Beach; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Brown of Wyoming, Deborah Copeland (Richard) of Wyoming and Donald Strathearn (Marion) of Perry. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
