He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Recktenwald and Bertha Recktenwald; his siblings, Donald, Francis, Kenneth, Paul Recktenwald and Adeline Recktenwald; his brother-in-law John Didas; and his niece Donna Jean Gessner.
He is survived by: his spouse Geraldine "Gerry" Recktenwald of Perkinsville; his children, Gerald Recktenwald (Elsbeth Martindale) of Portland, OR and Anne Heiman (Mike) of Perkinsville; his grandchildren, Katelyn, Lauren Heiman of Dansville, Ashley Lucas (David) of Mountain Home, ID and Cullen Recktenwald of Portland, OR; his siblings, Mary Anne Didas of Churchville and Tom Recktenwald (Jean) of Wayland; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Recktenwald of Dansville and Joan Recktenwald of Perkinsville.
