He is survived by: his wife Nancy Schofield Athawes; his son William Mark Athawes (Kathryn Schepp); his extended family, Rick and Maria Corwin; his grandchildren, Eric Corwin (Danielle Spalik) and Brittany Corwin; his sister Carol Nolph; and his sister-in-law Sally Williams.
