She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivan Cromwell and Mildred Brundage Cromwell; her former husband Anthony Barnum; her brothers, John Cromwell (Grace), Theodore Cromwell (Ethel), Mike Cromwell and David Cromwell; and her siblings-in-law, Carl Barnum, Morgan Knapp, Dave Read (Pat), Geraldine Farrell (Joe), Phyllis Ullrich (Bob), Mae Kaufman, Lorraine Barnum, Dorothy Leonard and Margie Nigro.

She is survived by: her husband Gerald Read; her children, Calvin Barnum (Theresa), Cindi Noeth (Jerry), Darlene Mahnke (John Orbaker), Donna Fiske (Joel), Darryl Read (Donna) and Doug Read; and her siblings-in-law, Betty Cromwell, Jean Barnum (Jack), Judy Barnum (Jack), Pat Monroe, Avis Knapp and Paul Read (Chris). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations could be made to the Prattsburgh Central School Teacher's Association Scholarship or the charity of ones choice.
