He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Salyer and Mary Pickup (Edsall); his wife Jane; his son-in-law James DeSantis; his uncle Clarence; and his aunt Ada Halford.

He is survived by: his children, Robin DeSantis of Port Crane, NY and Dean Salyer (Kirsten) of Angelica, NY; and his stepsisters, Judy Pohl (Chris) of Silver Springs, MD and Jacqueline Prescott (Glenn) of Lawrence, KS. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made in his memory to Bluff Point United Methodist Church, PO Box 134, Bluff Point, NY 14478.
