It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gerald I. Read (Penn Yan, New York), who passed away on November 2, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Irwin Read and Mildred Read (Moore); his wives, Martha Wolfanger and Shirley Barnum (Cromwell); his brother David Read; and his siblings-in-law, Patricia Read, John Keene and Morgan Knapp.

He is survived by: his siblings, Paul Read (Christine) and Avis Knapp; and his children, Darlene Mahnke (John Orbaker), Donna Fiske (Joel), Darryl Read (Donna), Douglas Read, Calvin Barnum (Theresa) and Cindi Noeth (Jerry). He is also survived by great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
