He was predeceased by: his parents, George D. Barnes and Ann Barnes (Powers); his wife Beverley Hefferon of Stephen's Church; his son Martin; his sisters, Alice, Katherine and Joanne; his son-in-law Tim Kuver; and his great grandchild Weston Runions.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Blind (Tom), Amy Braman (Neal), Patty Maher (Billy), Joan Perry (Mark), Paul Barnes (Jodie), Sharon Reagan (Doug), Lolly Green (Glenn), Matthew Barnes and Megan Condron (Clint); his grandchildren, Shane Blind (Natalie), Jessica Schutz (Matt), Colin Blind (Amy), Dr. Eliza Barnes (Jon), Patrick Barnes (Sabrina), Sean Braman (Morgan), Amanda Brady (Chad), Ashtin Runions (Russell), Bennigan Maher, Braedy Eddington (Billy), Madison Nolan (Chris), Nick DiDuro (Madison), Alex DiDuro, Erica DiDuro (Mike), Monica DiDuro, Olivia DiDuro, Margot Perry (Ben), Dr. Alexis Barnes (Mitch), Ryan Barnes (Daniel), Riley Kuver, Mason Kuver, Madelyn Kuver, Marra Choffin, Luke Choffin, Will Condron and Leah Condron; his great grandchildren, Leah, Ava, Rayna, Evelyn, Charlotte, Gatlin, Barrett, Cade, Vada, Ruby and Jack; and his siblings-in-law, Mimi Cherniske, Teal Hefferon, Mike Hefferon and Patrick Hefferon (Laura).
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (312 Liberty St, Penn Yan, NY 14527). A burial will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 2:15 PM at the St. Michael's Cemetery (54 W Lake Rd, Penn Yan, NY 14527).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in George's name to St. Michael's Church, 210 Keuka Street, Penn Yan, NY 14527.
