He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hiram and Viola Christensen (Kjar); and his wife Geraldine Margaret Lootens. He is survived by: his children, Douglas Christensen (Tina Snyder), Diane McIntee (Mark), Dale Christensen (Roxanne) and Mark Christensen (Susan); his stepchildren, Ritchie Lent (Mary Laursen) and Debbie Lent; his siblings, Helen Dickson (Ed), Pauline Carroll, David Christensen and Donald Christensen (Phyllis); and his brothers-in-law, Robert Lootens (Cindy Dey) and Richard Lootens (Sharon). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Weldon Funeral Home (102 E Main St, Penn Yan, NY 14527). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (135 Hamilton St, Penn Yan, NY 14527). A burial was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 12:15 PM at the Lakeview Cemetery (426 Court St, Penn Yan, NY 14527). A reception was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (135 Hamilton St, Penn Yan, NY 14527).
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Charles, to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Penn Yan, the Keuka Comfort Care Home in Penn Yan or to a charity of one's choice.
