She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd L. Root and Elizabeth Root (Lawton); her husband Stanley P. Kniffin; and her siblings, Alfred Root, Thomas Root and Donna French.
She is survived by: her children, Maxine M. Kniffin (Harold Lafler) of Penn Yan, Marilyn M. Kniffin of Lansing, NY and John Stanley Kniffin (Helen) of Penn Yan; her grandchildren, Wade Kniffin, Karl Paul Davis (Sarah Gilbert), Daniel Kniffin, Brandon Mead, Andreanna Kniffin (Olivia Gibbs), Samantha Bell, James Pinneo, Tony Pinneo, Devin Armstrong and Alyssa Armstrong; her great grandchildren, Damion Hall and Aryen Ingersoll; and her sisters, Janice Rolson (Lyle), Beverly VanEttan and Dawn Root. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
