He is survived by: his wife Brenda Colby (Schneckenburger); his children, Kathy Colby Scott (Steve Scott) and Tom Colby (Shilpa Satoskar); his grandchildren, Becca Scott, Cara Scott, Anand Colby and Ashwin Colby; and his siblings, Susan Colby (Bill Klement) and David Colby.
