He was predeceased by: his wife Lucille Altman; and his son David Altman. He is survived by: his children, John Altman Jr. (Elides Cotis), Thomas C. Altman (Rosemary Altman), Jim Altman, Sharon Altman (Bruce Wells) and Cathy Altman; his grandchildren, Jodi O'Dell, John O'Dell, Alan Altman, Amanda Altman, Ben Altman, Elizabeth Altman, Jonathan Altman, Virginia Altman, Luke Altman, Jacob Altman, Laura Carboni and Alex Carboni; and his great grandchildren, Jace O'Dell, JJ O'Dell, Jocelyn O'Dell, Al Altman, Axl Altman, Ayla Altman and Elijah Altman.
