He was predeceased by: his wife Ann; his son James; his grandson Jeremy; his sisters, Nell Haase and Sue Wiggins; and his son-in-law Bob Carter.
He is survived by: his daughter Julie Carter; and his grandchildren, Hannah Thomas (Luke), Anna Barrett (Ryan), Jonathan Carter (Kelly) and Erin Ellis (Tyler). He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
