He was predeceased by: his parents, Kwame Asare Boaitey and Janet Okoromea; and his siblings, Yaw Buronya, Kwabena Amponsa, Kwaku Ofasu, Ama Afre, Ama Yeboah and Akosua Sewaa.

He is survived by: his former wife Akosua Mercy Obiri; his sons, Kwame, Kwadjo, Nana Yaw and Kwasi; his daughter-in-law Karama; his granddaughter Ayoka; and his nephews, Agyei and Eric. He is also survived by other extended family members and friends.
