He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Gay Tobin (John), Kathleen Murphy (John), Sheila Grandfield, Moira Dougherty, Paula Ryan, John Ryan III (Kathleen), Peter Ryan (Frances), Stephen Ryan (Kathleen) and Joseph Ryan (Kathleen). He is also survived by 19 nieces and nephews, 14 great-nieces and great-nephews, and many cousins.
