He was predeceased by: his father Philip M. Busse; and his brother-in-law Francis Sokolik. He is survived by: his mother Elizabeth Busse (Chadwick); his significant other Doreen (Cozzi); his son Navy Captain Matthew (Kate); his grandchildren, Ava and Ryan; his sister Donna; and his pets, Dexter and Bugsy. He is also survived by uncle to his many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
