With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roy McKenzie (Peekskill, New York), born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, who passed away on April 17, 2020 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Paul and Rosa Mae McKenzie (Ballenger); his wife Barbara D. McKenzie; his son Mark McKenzie; his siblings, Fannie Mae Blackett, Margaret Elizabeth Mair, Esther McKenzie, Richard McKenzie, Walter McKenzie and Warren McKenzie; his children, Eric D. McKenzie (Vivian) of Peekskill, NY, Angela McKenzie of Wappingers Falls, NY and Michael McKenzie (Katherine) of Hopewell Junction, NY.; his siblings, Ann Deering (Dennis) of Cambria Heights, George McKenzie of Michigan and Benjamin McKenzie of Washington, DC.; and his grandchildren, Gregory L Berry of Wappingers Falls, Erika McKenzie of Stone Mountain, GA, Anthony D. McKenzie of Peekskill, NY, Marcus T. McKenzie of Hopewell Junction, NY and Joseph M. McKenzie of Hopewell. He was also cherished by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
His transition was peaceful and painless at New York Presbyterian hospital in Cortland Manor, due to the Novel Coronavirus COVID-19.
