He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Scanlon and MaryAnn Scanlon; his wife Sarah Veronica Reid; his sister Mary Christy; his grandchildren, Ashling, Eoin, Ciara, Erin, Tara, Noelle, Caleigh, Aidan, Colette, Ryan and Dylan; and also, Thomas Scanlon (Mary), Mary McDonald (Sean), Eugene Scanlon (Maria), John Scanlon (Jean) and Eamon Scanlon (Helen). He was also cherished by 4 sons, 1 daughter.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make a donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, a disease he suffered with his whole life.
