She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Mitchell and Bertha Mitchell. She is survived by: her friends, Douglas Wilder, Black and Marion Barry; her children, Benjamin H. Thompson IV (Jocelyn) of San Francisco, California and Tracey M. Brannigan (Raymond) of Cortlandt Manor; and her grandsons, Terrell M. Brannigan, William L. Thompson of Rexburg, Idaho and Alex Brannigan of Cortlandt Manor.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church (648 Harrison Ave, Peekskill, NY 10566). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Hillside Cemetery (1033 Oregon Rd, Cortlandt, NY 10567).
