He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Malaspina and Maria Malaspina (Zinno); and his brother Robert Malaspina. He is survived by: his wife Helene Malaspina (Lowenstein); his children, Peter Malaspina (Christine), Emily Nesi (Thomas) and Angela Malaspina (James); his grandson Jack Nesi; his siblings, Sharon Malaspina, Anna Maria Smith (Joseph), Peter Malaspina and Cecilia Pugliese (Frank); and his aunts, Rosaria Trolli (Giuseppe) of Italy, Ernesta Zinno of Italy and Antonietta Malaspina. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
