It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Madeline Protasow (Pearl River, New York), born in Beaver Meadows, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 28, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Jacob Protasow, Jr.; her brothers, Nicholas (Helen) of Drums, PA and Leonard; her sons, Anthony and Barry; and her siblings, John, Michael, Ann, Helen and Margaret.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey, Brian of Pearl River, Debbie Hunter of New Paltz and Cheryl of Pearl River; and her grandchildren, Rebecca Hunter and Paul Hunter (P. J.) of New Paltz.
Mass was her weekly retreat and prior to the pandemic, she was a regular at St. Margaret's on Sunday mornings. She continued this practice from home during the pandemic and would begin the day watching the broadcast from St. Patrick's Cathedral and then finish off with the end of the mass from St. Margaret's.
