With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris McDermott of Pearl River, New York, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on February 21, 2022 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Cava and Frank Cava; and her brother Frank Cava. She is survived by: her husband Jim; her children, Christine Kiely (Jeff) of Tolland, Conn., Thomas Dempsey (Wendy) of Hebron, Conn. and Joseph Dempsey (Monica) of Hazlet, N. J.; her stepchildren, Jamie Zervos (Dean) of Ithaca, N. Y. and James McDermott (Darlene) of Pearl River, N. Y.; her granddaughters, Jennifer Kiely, Melissa Kiely, Danielle Dempsey and Shealyn Dempsey; her stepgrandchildren, J. T. McDermott, Sean McDermott, Emma McDermott, Zoe Zervos and Dean Zervos; and her stepgreat-grandson Matthew McDermott.
