She was predeceased by: her husband Emil Lars Mekeland; and her brothers, John Hughes and Henry Hughes. She is survived by: her parents, Robert Sheridan and Elizabeth Sheridan (Gare); her daughter Joy Colombo; her son-in-law Joseph Colombo; her grandchildren, Richard Scott Hake, Christine Hake and Ryan Hake; and her great grandchildren, Cameron Tucci and Kiera Tucci. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
