With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John B Cooke of Pawling, New York, born in Poughkeepsie, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 21, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Cooke and Bess Cooke (Burr); and his sister Betty Smith (Sam). He is survived by: his wife Helen Patrick; his children, John Patrick Cooke and Mary C. Cline (Robert) of Portsmouth, NH; and his sister Grace Ann Beers (Stan) of Fountain Hills, AZ. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
