She was predeceased by: her parents, John Calandro and Dorothy Calandro (Suski). She is survived by: her brothers, John and Donald Calandro; her husband Joseph Samela of New Rochelle; her daughters, Jodi Samela and Jaime Samela; and her grandchildren, Amanda "Lulu" and Breann "BreBre" Scoca.
Due to COVID-19, services will be private to only immediate family but a memorial to celebrate her life will be announced at a later date.
