It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Morita Steeley of Patterson, New York, who passed away on September 20, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Yasohachi Morita of Kumamoto and Frances Maria Brineck of Austria; and her siblings, Rudi Hoffman, Anna Bresiger, Mary McBride, Gertrude Bresiger, Frances Grilli and Viola Stefanacci.
She is survived by: her former husband Joseph Steeley; her children, Joseph A. Steeley, III of Dover Plains, NY, Christopher J. Steeley of Worcester, NY, Linda S. Akin of Patterson, NY and Jill Steeley of Beacon, NY; and her grandchildren, David Akin III, Matthew Akin, Andrew Akin, Michael Steeley, Lisa Steeley and Kimberly Steeley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
