He was predeceased by: his parents, William D. Cargill and Hazel Newell Cargill; his son Wayne D. Cargill, II; his brother Roger Cargill; and his stepfather Douglas Sullivan.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Decker Cargill; his children, Bill Cargill (Kathy) of North Carolina and Alicia Paul (Bryan) of Bermuda; his daughter-in-law Gloria Cargill; his grandchildren, Wayne, III, Barry, Byron, Bill, Shaun, Cody, Cameron, CJ and Ariana; and his great grandchildren, Emily and Harper.
