He was predeceased by: his parents, George Remington and Lucy Trumble Remington; his spouses, Shirley Lillian Riches and Resa; and his siblings, Warren Remington, Carl Remington, Doyle Remington and Belva Hawley.

He is survived by: his sons, Ward Remington (Julie) of Parishville, Brent Remington (Robin) of Parishville, Benjamin Smith (Tabitha) of Winthrop, Glenn Remington (Stacia Dutton) of Parishville and Nicholas Remington (Suzanne Campbell) of Fulton; and his sister Elizabeth Hawley of Colton. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.
