He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Phillips and Arla Phillips; and his wife Delores Phillips. He is survived by: his children, Wendy Geer (Larry), Patricia LaRock (Anthony), Michael Phillips (Susan), Jeffrey Phillips (Heidi) and Gregory Phillips (Miko); his brother Gary Phillips; and his brother-in-law Howard Maxwell. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.

Contributions in George's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
