He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sampson and Betty "Mindich" Sampson. He is survived by: his wife Laura J. Sampson; his children, Jason T. Sampson (Jasmine Douglas), Ronald N. Moss III, Lauren E. Moss and Victoria J. Moss; his grandchildren, Logan N. Moss, Averi M. Moss and Naomi M. Verbridge; his siblings, Kenneth Sampson (Kathy), Susan Toft, Brenda Halcus (Steven Patore), Linda Fleming (James), Randy Sampson and Betsy Sampson (Gary McFarland); his parents-in-law, Gerald and Gladys Jordan; and his sisters-in-law, Hope D'Alessandro (late David) and Sherry Burrs (Kevin Whelehan). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family asks donations to be made to the go fund me listed for Demetria Gallop-Enright (http://gofund.me) whom John and Laura met while undergoing evaluations for lung transplant in Pittsburg, PA.
