She was predeceased by: her parents, Hollis Powell and Mary Ann Schutt Powell; her stepfather Ernie Fagner; her son Shawn Gedney; her grandson Nivek Gedney; and her father-in-law Douglas "Roy" Gedney.
She is survived by: her husband William R. "Bill" Gedney; her son Jeremy Gedney (Tonya Backus); her mother-in-law Helen Gedney; and her siblings, Laurie McDaniels, Julia House and Guy Arthur Powell. She is also survived by six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and many, many friends.
