As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Walter may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Lane and Julia Gambino Lane; his wife Susan (Dunn); his stepson Brandon Garcia Stephen (Albany); his siblings, Deborah Legg (William) and David (Jill) of Accord; his stepson Jeremy Freligh; and his cousin Stephen Salisbury. He was also cherished by many Aunts, Uncles & Cousins.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 11th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. (45 John St, Saugerties, NY 12477). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 12th 2024 at the Trinity Cemetery.
