Howie J. Chewins Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Howie J. Chewins of Palenville, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 2, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Chewins and Sophie Chewins; his sister Sandra Miner; and his brother-in-law Richard Miner. He is survived by: his significant other Donna Chewins (McDowell); his children, Jeffrey Chewins (Jen) and Stacy Sprague-Chewins; his grandchildren, Trevor Sprague, Hunter Sprague and Lily Chewins; his son-in-law Christopher Sprague; and his friends, Chet and Pat Garrison. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home (139 Jefferson Heights, Catskill, NY 12414). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:30 AM.
