It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet H. Ouderkirk (Palatine Bridge, New York), born in Schenectady, New York, who passed away on October 14, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Janet departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Janet may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Janet leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Clarence J. Ouderkirk, Jr.; her stepmother Ada Hoyt; her sister Ella Mae Nestle; and her stepsister Joyce Cassidy. She is survived by: her son Joseph Ouderkirk (Barbara); her grandchildren, Christa Fonda (Tim) and Hans Ouderkirk (Roxy); and her great grandchildren, Harper, Olin and Rylee. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
